Decoding rear - end ratio for '37 85hp

On the center section of the rear-end of my '37 fordor 85hp has the numbers 9 underline 3 over 4 - what appears to be a B ( or a 3) with an upside down 2 '
What I'm thinking is the B and the upside down 2 are inspection stamps ?
Any ideas anyone ??

The 9 should be the Pinion tooth count and the 34 the ring gear tooth count which would make it a 3.78 presuming it has not been changed.
