Deck lock down on a retractable

When the roof is in the down [retract position] on my '58 Skyliner, the rear deck lock downs work just fine, but when the roof is up [erect position], the rear deck lid will go down, but the locks won't engage, leaving a gap between the rear edge of the roof and the front edge of the deck lid. Any ideas on what to check?

The limit switch at the bottom of the trunk. It tells the retract motor to stop and the lock down motor to run. It is the one the arm bumps into on the pasenger side floor towards the rear of the trunk.
