Dearborn Classics Sheetmetal

Had to relocate the Skyliner from her parking space since we're tearing down the carport to make a more permanent add-on to the shop, and during the move, (slid it on wood ramps due to the rear axle being out and the front wheels locked) the driver's door let go along the lower seam where it was already pretty rusty and soft.

Found these: http://www.dearbornclassics.com/ext.../door.html?attrrangeval_Price=80+<=++<=+99.99 and was wondering if anyone had had any experience with them, as they don't provide a photo. If they need some reshaping to work that's fine by me, since they show '57-59' and I don't imagine all three were exactly identical from the four door, the Sunliner, the 2-door, and my retractable.

I have a picture in my head of this being the entire lower part of the door, where they're prone to rusting out, but the price suggests it may just be the lower skin. Any body guys who know for sure?

As you are aware the Tudors are longer so you will have a lot of work ahead of you. These replacement panels are for the outside bottom edge of fordors. The only advantage to them for you would be that they have corners per bent. If your inners are rusty you will have to fabricate them. It may turn out easier and cheaper in the long run to find replacement doors.

Thanks for the info! I'll be keeping an eye out for a door anyway, just wasn't sure what I was looking at there.

tell us what year skyliner you have 57-58 are easier to get parts for the 59 is tougher.

dearborn classics was bought out by ecklers chevy parts about 2 years ago. they are still learning ford parts???

they do resell ems sheetmetal as the old dearborn classics was a ems dealer.

for the best in skyliner parts try jerrys skyliner parts located in arkansas

or if you have a 57-8 www.emsautomotive.com

if you need more help call our shop 216-541-4585 ask for the tech guy (he very busy so leave a message) but call jerrys first

i used ems upper fender patch panels for my 58 and the quality is excellent! i highly recommend their product! all the lines were right on as were the contours!
