Dearborn Blue Dupont or PPG recent paint codes?

Has anyone found a mix recently (newer system but not 2 stage) for Dearborn Blue. At least PPG color laboratory could not match it. I like to shoot either single stage urethane or acrylic enamel.

M-1723 was the original code for a very dark Dearborn blue. If you google it then you may find newer names or codes on the HAMB or Jalopy Journal.

I tend to look a the color chips from my current paint product that I use as long as I know the original shade. There will be several shades in the dark category. It reminds me of the color originally used on the Vought F4-U Corsair fighter planes. It's close to Navy blue. One of my old 51 Mercs is Banning Blue on the lower color but it just a tad lighter than Dearborn Blue. Midnight Blue is close.

Try Auto color library. Is part of TCP Global. Even though I had the PPG code for 1946 dark slate grey poly, my local PPG person could not mix it.

I have about 1 1/2 gallons of Dearborn blue in Ditzler Delthane from about 35 years ago. Unfortunately the Activator is $$ and the DTR thinner is NLA. I tried a test panel using omni activator and thinner for their Acrylic Enamel without success. It did not flow out properly. I cut and buffed an area to at least get a color area to use the ppg color gun. Lo and behold it came out as Honda Midnight blue as an excellent match for the Dearborn Blue!
If you are looking to shoot a 34 ford in Dearborn Blue I would consider the Midnight blue but not metallic.
