Dash light?

I just noticed while driving my 31 coupe with the lights on that I do not have a dash light. I am new to Model A's. Did all cars come with one?

All Model A came with a dash light and you might have one. The round speedometer instrument panel has a separate light above the panel. It's hidden under the dash rail.

Do you mean your dash light does not come on with your headlights??
This is normal, you need to turn the dash light to get it to come on.

John, be careful. That light gets HOT!! I think I left my fingerprints, permanently on the bulb the first time I went to shut it off...

I have since wired it to my tail lights so the light comes on with the other lights (and I don't have to blindly attempt to turn it off).

Use an LED bulb and it will not get hot, nor will it burnout in our lifetime.

IF yur cluster mounted dash lite flickers when drivin', jist add a little bit of solder on the tip of the bulb!

As a newbie, I leave mine on all the time. It helps remind me to turn off the battery disconnect.

Haha. That wouldn't work for me. I have a fused wire bypassing the Battery Disconnect so my guy can keep watch over the A when I'm not around...

His eyes constantly flash red and blue...

Where did you find a proper size LED bulb? Are you still positive ground on your car?
