Dash and interior paint

I am getting ready to paint the dash and other interior pieces on my 1964 Falcon (same assembly lines used by Mustang). I have a local paint supplier that can match the original color based on the carefully sanded ashtray.
What "sheen" matches the original? I know its not Gloss, and not quite flat. Paint supplier says he has 5 grades of sheen.
Which "SHEEN" do I want? I also will attempt to use the same paint on the original door cards to freshen them up a bit and make them the right color.

Ask for semi gloss. I used matte on mine it looks great but any touch up ends up being more semi gloss than matted.
If you have an original painted part wash it and take it in.

Thanks. The entire interior was repainted by that nefarious "previous owner"--he seems to be the culprit of a lot of damage to a lot of peoples' cars. He used the commonly available rattlecan that SEMS said was correct for all 1964 and 1965 Fords, but it is way more red than the original. I was able to sand off that repaint off the ashtray and now I have a good section of the original color for the paint guy to match.
I will be using the local Colours,Inc location which is a PPG vendor.

Hello If you are going to repaint (single stage) after color sanding it you might be able to control the gloss by amount of polishing you do. If two stage ,can control sheen with clear coat.

You might try going over to the Antique Auto site. The restoration guys might have a definite match. Or maybe even a Mustang site if Ford used the same colors in both models.

My first thought was to use the greater availability of Mustang parts as they were built in the same plants and on the same lines and shared colors. That was why I mail-ordered some SEMS interior "bright red" but it was not anywhere near close.
Of course, Fall Carlisle and HERSHEY are just a couple of weeks away. Maybe with a clean and sanded ashtray, I could find a vendor that recognized the original color and has the proper paint to sell. The trials of mail-order versus the beauty of physical vendors.
