I am a history "buff" of the both WWs. I have read many books on the subject and have books on D Day in my collection. It got a small mention here on TV.
I also remember every time I look at my 64 1/2 Mustang I imported 2 years ago . The build date on the door dag is "06F" which translates to June 6. I had number plate surrounds made for the car that reads on the top "Born June 6 1964 Dearborn MI" and on the bottom "D Day 20 years on ". So I have a car that is extra special to me because it is not only named after one of the greatest piston engined fighters in history but it has a birthday on a great date in both military and world history.
General Anthony Clement McAuliffe who commanded the 101st Airborne during the push towards the Rhineland would only have one thing to say for those who choose to forget... "NUTS!"
Lest we forget
