Cylinder heads

Just saw a discussion on cylinder heads, and searched the forum, but could not find the answer. I see the 8RT has the lowest CR, and EAB the highest.
If I don't want to change the heads on my '53 8RT, what can I safely mill off them to boost the CR ? Any guesses to what CR you would end up with ? Thank you Fordbarners
 
I have never seen a 53 engine with 8RT heads?? Original??

To answer your question the heads can usually be cut .050 IF THEY HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN CUT. Be sure to check for clearance after milling. If you read my book you'll see this is one of the most cost effective efficiency improvements.
