cylinder head removal

may have to remove one head from my '37 flathead.
- what is the best gasket material / source to buy as a replacement?
- what is the torquing procedure when replacing the head?

remove the bolts from each end of the head working toward the middle, when retorquing work from the middle of the head to both ends of the head, check head with a straight edge to see if its warped, torque head in 3 stages

Sometimes small quantities of nitro in the cylinder and spin the engine real fast. Don't stand near the head.
