Cut Out Question

Properly regulated charging current is much easier on the battery than a steady state current charge. When the battery is fully charged, the generator only has to provide current for the loads that are applied during operation. With a cut out or a diode, the battery keeps on being bombarded with current after it is fully charged and tends to be overcharged after medium to long drives.
