Custom intake

I bought a custom intake a few weeks ago with a single barrel holley that had an adapter welded ontop of an original itake manifold. The bottom is blocked off with a cylinder of some type of metal. Yes it's completely sealed off. I was just wondering if anyone had used these before and how good they run. I mostly bought it because it looked cool lol and I was going to use it on a future speedster project.

Sounds like one I made years ago. Does the cylinder go all the way to the top of the drop tube. If so it one that I made. If it is it work good when the carb is jetted right.

I haven't used it yet but this sounds like what you have. Mine has a 41 Ford one barrel off the 6 cyl. motor which was the first year for the 6. The second 2 pics are for a two barrel which require a lot more engineering for linkage
