Cruisomatic Update

scraped off the old Cruisomatic the other day.

measured the case and it's 10 7/8".

the chart at Charlie Trans says it's a FX Cruisomatic or

small case.

i'm glad it's the kind you put it in drive and it just shifts 1-2-3.

it says the original Fordomatic started in '51, so

the Fordomatic is a flathead/y block trans.

then the Cruisomatic FX and MX came out in '58,

i think that might have been because of the MEL

big blocks coming out that year too.
