Cross member and Float A Motor query

As you can see from the first pics, over the course of its life, someone has done a cutting job on the crossmember across the universal joint in my Model A. I am in the process of installing a Float-A-Motor kit and now find that I have nowhere to rest that part of the kit that attaches to the universal joint knuckle.

I am in the process of fabricating a bracket to fix this lack. Just so as to check my measurements, is any one able to provide measurements for the width of the lip marked in red in the final photo, as well as the distance from the top of the crossmember to the top of the lip?

Assistance very appreciated

Thanks
John

Can you take measurements from the other side of cross member? Or is that also cut away. I guess finding another cross member in your area may be tricky? :)

The Float-A-Motor engine mount set has 2 essential mounts, but the one you speak of is not one of them. Essential because they work as a team to support the engine are the front engine mount & the rear engine mounts. The front mount makes the transmission mount redundant.

The rear mount will take some load off of the side engine mounts. They are not particularly thick. I fear they might fail without that extra mount.
