crankshaft replacement

flashback

It has been a few years since being on the Ford Barn. I have a 1950 F-1 pickup with a v8 flathead. The v8 was rebuilt about 5 years ago. The crank was out of ballance and not true.

My question is can the crankshft be removed and replaced with out taking the topend apart?

Thanks, John

Even if you could get it out without removing any other components.
Balancing the crank only, may not solve the out of balance.
All the associated components should be balanced along with the crank.

How do you know the crank is out of balance? Are you sure it is not the flywheel, pressure plate, etc? Could also be pistons/rods etc.
