Crankcase Ventilation System

I just saw the one like mine on the Swap Meet section for sale. Appears to be the same type as in Joops post .

I don't have a pic of mine, but I designed it just like the early Willys Jeep. Even used the pcv valve from a Korean War era jeep. If you google images ofWillys Jeep Pcv you will see several photos of the setup.

Our sense of smell is closely tied to memory. The model a isnt a generic computer designed product of a marketers dream,it smells of oil and gas.To me the smell of old 600w is a model a.Got a little crankcase vapor? let it flow, look at it this way,in the eyes of the state you are a gross polluter when you drive your car whether you control your crankcase vapor or not, embrace that, fight the system..

:) but! Even back in the era you could install a cap with the long road draft tube to allow the fumes to exit under the car not into it. So smell must have been an issue even back then. Growing up around tractors and such, smell doesn't bother some of us in the same way it does others.
Nothing like the smell of a steam tractor, wood or coal fired, under full power or at rest ready to go!

I have a Fum-maze draft tube on my sdn. I put a 45 degree preformed pvc elbow on the end of the tube.

That dropped it below the wishbone and and also created more vacuum.

I also run a Fu Maze and still run engine pans and it dopes a great job removing fumes and pressure from the crankcase . I didn't have problems with fumes in the cab but the model A and B engines don't really have a crankcase breather and needs one . The Fumaze kinda looks and works like the crankcase breathers that was used on the stove bolt and 235-261 chevy sixes .

Recirculating and burning crankcase fumes can soot up the spark plugs . Reburning fumes will reduce power because it weakens the power of the fuel . I know that modern cars do this but they have more power in the first place . Model A's didn't come with a PCV type setup and are not required to use one. I want all of mine to run clean and have as much power as possible . Just my thoughts .
