Wow what a bunch of scammers Have been responding to my add on craigslist. I didn't realize how many foreigners are interested in ford mustangs. I posted my phone number so I had a few legitimate calls and e-mails. One e-mail stated they were real interested but had dial up and could I please check a link for them on insurance. Not in this lifetime. It was a name I could not begin to pronounce. The price of trying to sell old cars And rusty junk. And now craiglist flagged ? me for posting a phone number.

I didn't know you'd get flagged for posting a phone number. That's the best and quickest way to make the deal. I do notice that some people spell out at least 2 or 3 of the phone digits though. I supposed to keep out the automatic spammers from collecting a phone number.

I just checked the add nothing flagged. The e-mail from craigslist came in as spam it looked legit but was asking for info so I deleted the message.

I hit the "hide" button so they can't contact me through Craig's List and add my phone number, never had a problem.

Dennis,
I'm currently enduring daily calls asking for Cheryl Johnson(different people/scumbags, but same line). No matter what the reply(I actually said she had passed once), they launch into selling pharmaceuticals. I think it started after I tried to sell my wife's conga drum via Craigslist. Luckily by not answering, the call frequency goes way down. They're just searching for someone breathing with a pulse.
But.......apparently I am owed millions by an oil tycoon in Nigeria. There's hope yet!
Good luck. Bruce

I do the same thing now. I had posted a coupe of different ad's, I got a mail's with the same question on both asking if I was for real. I did not reply to ether. After that I removed my email and just left my phone number. So far that has worked.

Same here, i also use the hide button and i put my phone # in the ad. Never any problems and i live on craigslist. Every vehicle i own and drive came from c'list, 9 so far, including my A, '55 Chevy, jet boat, sailboat, '60 Rambler....never a rip-off or spam...knock on wood.

I had a couple of guys come over to take a look at my mustang. They were using a GPS to find my place and got lost. kind of funny they seemed OK a little hard to understand with heavy accents from some Baltic country complete with gold chains around there necks They claimed to buy and ship to europe. I told them cash is the only thing that works in Kelsey. They said they would get back to me ?
