Crack oboy

I removed the head today on my stock 27. I found a crack between #1 head bolt and the water passage. Their was antifreeze in the bottom of the bolt hole.
What will you do with this problem? I reassembled the head with a new copper gasket. And used teflon tape on the # 1 bolt and torqued it down all bolts 45lbs for the first heat cycle. So far things are great. I'm still going to do a re-torque tomorrow

I do believe that sort of crack goes nowhere, coolant will seep around the bolt threads but shouldn't leak from under the head of the bolt. Teflon tape will affect a true torque reading on the bolt, the torque values are for a dry, grease free thread on the bolt and blown-out hole. With teflon tape being used I'd be surprised the bolt stayed tight. But try it, it's not a high water pressure environment. Best of luck!
