given that the metal clip (see earlier posts) is on the first (tank/qtr panel) bolt, just how snug should the cardboard cowl panel be to the gas tank itself. i have a kit from a long time well known vendor but the upper edge is VERY snug to the tank ... to the point i scuffed the tank paint while test fitting it. photos of this area (28) would be very helpful.
