Cowl lights

Has anyone ever modified the light wiring to make the cowl lights come on with the driving lights vs. the stock setting of one or the other? I'm terrible with wires so let's use beginner terms and pictures. Thanks!

Just wire them to the same post in the switch as the tail lights. I did that on the '31 Fordor I had as a teenager. I wired my current rig that way as well. And I did it on purpose. I like the way it lights up the front fenders & hood after dark.

Can you post a picture? My experience with automotive electronics is changing lightbulbs. I can do a head gasket no problem but wires are like Latin to me.

My car's cowl lights come on when the headlights or parking lights are lit. The previous owner thought, 'the more light the better,' for safety at night. I haven't changed it.
