Cowl Lamp Wiring

In cars WITH cowl lamps, how does the harness get through the firewall from the light switch to the lamp harness in the passenger compartment?

In cars WITHOUT cowl lamps (like mine), how did Ford expect shops to get the wire from the light switch to the passenger compartment in this service bulletin?

They sort of gloss over the fact that the harness is outside the passenger compartment, and the cowl lamp harness is inside. Is there a factory hole in there somewhere I don't know about?

Thanks,
Kyle

I ran mine through the junction box, don't know if it's right or not, but it looks OK...if done right.

the wire from your cowl lights run down behind the left kick panel. and down between your cowl panel and the sub frame extension. and meets up with the wire from your head light switch next to steering box with a special connector that hooks under the upper flange of the frame.

yes what jw hash said
its very easy to route, look and you will see the opening right near the #1 body bolt.

Hey, THANKS guys! VERY helpful! I found two openings there by using a light under the car to shine back up into that area.

Are those openings there on all cars 28-31?
