Coupe seat mounting holes

Hi, can anybody tell me the exact location of the holes in the floor for the seat tracks in a ´39 coupe std ? . Mine came without the seat ( I´m trying to find one) and the floor is new, really well hand made but have not holes in it. A good guide can be the line between B pillars, distance from there to the front and rear and total width. I have seen some, but it´s hard to measure with the seat in place. Thanks so much. Ricardo.

I just measured mine with the seat in. Here's where the holes go. All measurements are off the "rocker panel" & from the B-pillar working forward.
For rear holes, Make a mark 4" from B-pillar on both sides. Draw a straight line between the marks. Then measure in 6½" in on each side from rocker.
Front holes. Mark 16" from B-pillar and then 5" in on each side.
The floor brackets are 12" apart.
Hope this helps.

Just a thought: Before drilling the seat mounting holes, place the seat in the car and sit in it, with the seat both advanced & retracted all the way, to see if it's comfortable for you. A little extra leg room is nice to have if you're going to drive it very much.

If your car is going to be 'show only', disregard the above.

Thanks for your replies, gonna help me to do the job once and right without the seat (still searching for a decent one), so I can bolt anything meanwhile, but using the right holes. Again, thanks for your time. Ricardo.

Seat bolts on a 39 don't go into the frame. They actually go into cage nuts welded to the underside of the floor.

When you get a seat, remove the tracks, and lay them on the floor first.
Front hole is 18 1/2" back from the door pillar mounting hole.
You may have to buy the seat/floor stiffeners from Precision Coachworks and have them welded in under the floor. They have the captive nuts to attach the seat tracks.
