correct color for nuts & bolts

On older model antique fords henry recognized paint as a s-2 raven finish? is this same as flat black or is it a specia paint? if so who handles this paint
 
I think most of the bolts and nuts had an oil type of finish on them. Not totally sure how to archive it, but believe it involves heating the metal and placing it in oil.

It's kind of a stain black finish. A practical way to achieve this at home is with Eastwood's Black Oxide plating kit. the kit is inexpensive, works well and is easy to utilize.
