Curious about coolant,I have a 39 ford coupe and have been using Xerox green low silicate coolant in my chevy 350.are all green chevy coolant compatible. Xerox should be zerex.

Eddie, Zerex Super Protector is not a coolant, but is needed as a water pump lubricant. Go for it, nothing better.

Zerex original green is for older cars, it's the typical green coolant. I would stick to one brand of green coolant and try not to mix them up. The Last thing you want to do is run straight water because of the rust that's eventually created. Once the coolant system gets rusty it's just about impossible to get rid of it. If you change your coolant as recommended by the manufacturer the inside of your engine will remain nice and rust free. I see aluminum flathead heads for sale that are just eaten up because they ran straight water. At work I pulled engines apart with 150.000 miles on them and the aluminum parts look new because the coolant had been maintained.
