convertible pump help needed!!!!

I just bought a 47 convertible and the top pistons are diconnected. The pump is full of fluid and the motors turns when switch is activated but nothing moves. Where can I obtain info on the hydraulic system.

There are two outlet plugs on the pump, if the pressure line is on the wrong outlet, it will not pump. Those pumps can be taken apart and cleaned up if the pot metal parts are still good. There also is a pressure regulator on them.

I think those old pumps worked using brake fluid. Change fluid to something else that is non corrosive to paint. I think ATF will work. These folks can help. http://www.hydroe.com/

Use ATF fluid. We just finished ours.
