congratulations to Marcus and Margretha

So I am a slow reader, but I got to page 28 of my July/August V8Times
and there was the notice that the winner of the Commercial 1945/53
is the anouncement that it was Marcus and Margretha Ellis, 1947 Ford.
Way to go!

Ditto from me. Sorry I was not aware sooner. Great news. Glad to see you rewarded for the efforts. Just traveling to the event is worth something!

John and all: Thank you for the nice comments - I had not planned to mention it, as there were certainly many, many beautiful Flatheads at the Charlotte meet. As JWL stated below - the trip alone was ice cream!!

You should also know that I learned more from JWL in just a few hours concerning replacement of a blown head gasket than I did in DAYS of study! The man has surely FORGOTTEN MORE than I will ever know!!

Additionally, I've studied his book for hours on end concerning performance characteristics of the Flathead Motor; if you don't have a copy - you need one!

FINALLY, You should also know that Vic is a "charter member" of the "We-Have-to-Push-Marcus'-Truck-Because-Mr. Dummy-pulled-the-choke-when-trying-to-start-a-warm-engine club"........(Mr. Dummy being ME!!)
