Condenser P/N Question

I know people have used NAPA points, has anyone used a condenser from them? And if so, do you have their part #.

Thanks!

The parts number for the NAPA original style condenser for the model A is MA3 . They usually won't have the part in stock, it will cost more than it would from a model A parts vendor and it won't be of the same quality.

if you need something quick just hook up any modern condenser externally. search the posts for how to hook up a condenser externally

Mike C, I've got to agree! You can connect the modern style condenser to the + side of the coil. This will be the red wire that is the switch side of the coil. Some of the replacement coil brackets have a place in the front center of the bracket for mounting a condenser. Or you can create your own mounting spot. With the condenser mounted away from the engine heat should last longer and be in an easy place to remove or replace.

An older guy taught me this back in 1960. The guy still has the same model A with the condenser mounted on the coil bracket. I have been running my sept 29 strip down this way for the past five years just for the fun of it. Some don't believe it until I show them that there is NO condenser in the distributor.
