Commercial Bodies question

For all you commercial body enthusiasts/experts, this question deals with aftermarket bodies, specifically York. When these companies were producing bodies from 1928-31 were they essentially the same body regardless of make? Or would they differ from company to company? Lets say hypothetically could a body for a 1928 Chevrolet fit 1930 ford running gear/cowl/fenders without extreme modifications? Or would this be near impossible? Could a passenger car cowl be used or would it only fit commercial cowls? I know this is an odd question but any insight would be appreciated

I have a 1928 York Hoover Huckster, All of the sill mounting holes only align to a Model A Frame. Front Dash assembly mounts around a std. Model A Gas tank and cowl assembly. I have seen pictures of a simular body on a Chevy frame and it is designed around Chevy body parts.

Hope this helps!!
