There is also a little mouse-hole notch near the top of the panel for the single steel-wound (armored) connecting wire to the ammeter.

And the light mounts under the dash rail at the center screw with a hex nut. there will be a small square hole that the little tab on the frame of the dash light fits to stabilize.

Agreed; that's a GREAT idea (with an LED)! Where'd you hook in to the tail lights?

Short answer: at the light switch at the bottom of the steering column. There should be a spare spade there to plug into.

The pic above shows the lamp installed in my Roadster. The integral mounting bracket is slightly longer on the lamp used with the Roadster type cowl but I never took pics before installation. The lamp below is a closed car type cowl which I restored for future use when restoring the Roadster lamp
