Column support mounting

On a '29, how did Ford seal the column bracket to the tank. I have a seep there, and I don't want to braze it for the possibility of warping my tank. I know there are four rivets, but was the bracket soldered on? and with what?

It was originally soldered and riveted. With what?...solder I guess.

I took my '29 tank to the radiator shop and they did a nice job resoldering it. Hasn't leaked in a thousand miles.

I've always been told that the tanks were tern plated inside which I gather is basically a bath in liquid solder. I wonder if Ford riveted the tanks then tern plate was applied inside to seal it. In any case, I believe cleaning, tinning the area, and resoldering would be the longest term type of repair if possible unless there is a big crack there.
