Coker Tire vs. Diamondback Tire

I am going to put new radial tires on my 36 pickup using 1935 600x16" wire spoke wheels. Which brand is better, Coker or Diamondback? Help me decide which to buy.

I have a set of radials from each of those suppliers and I don't have any complaints of either suppliers tires. I think if I were forced to chose one of the two, it would be diamondback. I am waitng now for their new offering of black wall radials that look like bias ply tires. As soon as they become available and proven, I will buy a complete set.

Most 16" tires from Coker require tubes, including the radial 600X16s. :( Diamond Back sells only tubless radials. :)

I've had several sets of DiamondBacks and would only buy from them in the future. I've heard too many negative comments about Coker tires...............

Here we go again. Every time this topic comes up it creates a huge s**tstorm. Search past threads about this subject and you can see it accomplishes nothing but controversy.

Not so controversial. V8 Bob hit the nail on the head, want radials go to DB for with tubes either as the chatter is 50 50 even in the old threads.

I had my first set of Coker radials about 15 years ago. Just replaced them with new
Coker wide shite radials. Being a HAMB alliance member, I got a pretty nice discount on the Cokers.

I have Coker tubeless radials for front tires and they have been great so far. Both brands are good. The plus I can add for Coker is that many of their tires can be purchased through Summit who in-turn offers free shipping for orders over $99. Steve

I am using Coker radials on my '50 and Firestone (Coker) on my '32. I would use tubes with the wire wheels. Pat

After a lot of hemming and hawing, reading threads that bashed one brand or the other, I determined that just like car owners - some are chebby through and through and the same for us ford guys - it's all individual experience and perception. So this last go 'round, I put Coker bias whites on the '51 F1. No complaints. Can't imagine I'd have complaints with Db, either.
