coil

Been thinking of getting a new coil for 1950 ford 8BA.
Read on here that I should get a Echlin IC 8.
Can't find one at NAPA. There is a used one on EBAY but don't
think I want a used one.
Got any ideas?

Why do you need a new coil? If the original is working OK then leave it on. If you are going to replace the original then do your home work and match the new coils primary resistance to the same ohms reading as the original coil. Don't just buy something that might do, test with a meter before buying. Guessing here is not recommended. Regards, Kevin.
