coil wire

Getting ready to fire up a motor on my new and improved motor test stand was going to mount the coil about 4 feet away just make my own wire out of 7mm copper core, do any of you guys see a problem with running a wire that long thanks AL

4 feet ?? Boy, its going to take a long time for all those little electrons to get to where they're going..hehehehe.. For what you're going to be doing, I don't see a problem..
