Coil fit problem

Anyone else having issues with Skip's coils fitting back into the distributors?? The last two or so that I have gotten from him are very very tight, so much so this last one would take a soft blow hammer to get it to fit which I am not comfortable having to do...ALSO the first one was so tight fitting, I really had to pull and wiggle to get it back out, it all of the sudden came loose and went flying, cracked in pieces on the floor!!!! Having to burr out or sand the opening on freshly done distributor is not what I really wanna do as well BUT??
 
Sand coil not distributor. They need to slip in or can break when removing. I have had this on many coils including a NOS brown that I broke removing. My fault as I new better.
 
Call him and ask him if something has changed, was it your coil that you got back or one sitting on a shelve ?

I called him and he "suggested" taking a dremmel tool and running a burr around the opening to relieve it a little bit, I thought about "sanding" the base of the coil......I asked him about it too, before I sent him the last three...because of the one I broke....He said for "some" reason, they swell a little when he gets done with them???? I assume they are the same Ones I sent, ALL three where "Ford" script that I sent and ALL three were "Ford" script I got back!!!!


Sheldon, no I didn't try them before I sent them BUT I have three more that I need to send him, none of those are script coils, just plain, but I will try the fit on them before I send him those AND compare the fit as well.

I think the plastic swells with age. I have some tight coils. I did not want to trim the distributer so I took a file to the coil. It sure did not hurt anything.
