When I went thru my 39 Deluxe, I did then engine, trans and rear. That included a new clutch. Have not put over 100 miles on the car since. I had not run the car in 6 weeks. I went to move the car and the clutch did not work. Felt ok but nothing. I have checked all the normal things, but no dice.
The question I have is does the car need a different clutch since the car came with an 8BA motor or is the stock 9" good?

What are your symptoms? If it's not releasing, the disc is probably stuck to the flywheel. Someone else had this problem a week or so ago. Check back thru the archives. If stuck, it should free up by rocking the car back and forth in 2nd or Hi gear.

Al,
I was able to get it started in gear. I was not able to get it freed up. I tried to start it in both 2nd and 3rd gear, and reverse. After trying that, I decided to dig in deeper. What I found is the pressure plate "fingers" had failed. So I decided to remove it and get another. Just wondering which Clutch kit to get.
