clutch slave cyl use/setup Q ?

As a youngin , back when, I used a 'slave cylinder' (?) for clutch fab in some odd mix of engine/clutch/trany setup. Mabe halucinating. Can not remember details(half century ago). Is this still done..where cyl mounted?? Pic anyone?

I think mounting would depend on what type of engine/****** combo you were running, and what original mechanical linkage was used. Mainly type/make of ******. 32-48 ford ******, need some type of arm on t/out brg shaft, a place to "hang' the slave and linkage in between.
