clutch pedal sticks

I recently Picked up a 1937 Ford Tudor Humpback. My problem is the clutch pedal sticks when releasing it, when in gear and the car running. About the time the clutch should engage the pedal stops. That's about 85% of the time.
I replaced the clutch plate, pressure Plate, throw out Bearing and pilot bearing. New spring and fork. New Pedal return spring. No change.

The pedal works fine in all gears when the car is not running. I have greased and oiled up everything I could find. Could it be in the trany?
This is my first V8 flathead. I have never encountered such a issue with my Model A, that has the V8 clutch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Roxo

check for wear on the front brg retainer. the T/O brg slides on that retainer and may be worn and causing the T/O brg to hang up. seeing as you've replaced everything else I'd visit the brg retainer. also disconnect linkage the the T/O brg lever. will the pedal return without anything attached to it?

I believe I found the problem. The bushing in the mounting plate to the pedals is bad. pressure on either pedal puts the clutch pedal in a bind ( as it rides against the mounting plate).
I don't understand why it would be worse when the motor was running, But thats what was happening. Now to figure out what bushing size that is. I don't see one for the mounting plate.

I recently replaced the pedal shaft and bushings on a set of 1937 pedals. You need two bushings and a shaft. I got the parts from Fred Wilner at Southside Obsolete in Fairbault, Minnesota, call or e-mail him.
