Clutch finger may be impacting a shock spring on the disk when the clutch pedal is fully depressed. Might try reducing the clutch pedal free travel.

The back of the clutch finger can also bump the bottom of the inspection cover screw if it is too long or not installed with the lock washer.

Remove the starter motor bolt down closest to the engine block. Look at the end of the bolt. If it is ground smooth and shiny, it is rubbing against the ring gear. Remove the starter to confirm by looking at the ring gear on the flywheel.

The fingers may be depressing to far and hitting things as noted above. Had the same problem. Increase clutch play from 1" to around 2".

How much fore and aft movement is there in the crank shaft when you’re stepping on the clutch?
Haven't heard back from the individual that called me! So thanks for all the reply's.Will pass on when I hear.
