Clutch drum set screw

When I installed my clutch drum I checked with a mirror to make sure the hole in the main shaft was lined up with the hole in the clutch drum. I ran in the set screw and I have about 4 threads exposed when the screw is tight. Should the set screw be completely seated such that no threads are visible or is the screw hanging up because the hole is not perfectly aligned although it looks like it is

That sounds about right, they usually have about 4 threads hanging out. Don't forget the cotter key or safety wire.
