I changed my home made 28 open cab over to a new closed cab,
Man it was a lot of work,5 months.
Did it all myself, including painting.(my boy did the painting)
I had a huge amount of help from Joe Bures, and others.
Did the roof yesterday with help from wife Carol and neighbour who came over just for a coffee.

Most common would have been to paint the windshield, dash rail, inner windshield garnish, window escutcheons, door rails and dispatch pockets black. Anything they applied "afterwards" to the basic green shell (which was painted all at once and without buffing out.) But Ford's practice in these matter varied - and maybe more so for an "offshore" production.

Did you use the pleated seat cushion or go new? My original truck seat cushion back (the back only) was pleated as your is. Mine cordovan rather than brown leatherette. The repop seat springs/covers are all provided "plain" as this seems to have been most common.

But who knows for mine? It might have been something the former owners sometime in the pickup's life picked up to replace a worn seat back?
