Closed cab 28 top question

There is a decent section in Les Andrew's volume II manual on the top wood if you need to replace any of the wood. I took pictures of the section if you need the info, but don't have Les's book. The book also has the fasteners used to secure the top wood.

Marco's pictures are great to see how the top installation operation is done.

The tops for the CCPU for 1928 through early 1930 are mostly wood work. Putting the material over the top of the structure is not as big a job as a lot of other model A types. They painted the bows since there was no headliner. They kept is simple for truck cabs since they were utilitarian transportation. Marco's photos show the sides above the doors pretty well with the rain gutters. The top had a black duck type inner lining with the padding and black long-short cobra grain top material over that.
