Slow but sure. I'm keeping my fingers crossed no pin holes yet.

Dennis,
What current setting do you set you battery charger when you use it for electrolysis? I have heard that 10 amps is good. My battery charger has a 2, 10 and 50 amp capability. Is 50 amps too much? I have a CCPU windshield that looks pretty good, except I can't get the top part off. I soaked the corners in penetrating oil (several kinds) and it still wont come off. I am thinking of using electrolysis on the frame to get rid of the rust. I don't have a large container to put it in so I might just put the ends in for a day or two each. Is there any problem leaving the part in the solution with the charger on too long?
Rusty

Rusty I'm using 12 volts with a 10 amp charger. I leave it on all day And pull the plug at night. I had to use heat to remove those screws cherry red a couple of times. then pb blaster soaked for weeks. Before they finally broke loose.

I have found that heat works when nothing else will. The problem is that sometimes heat wont work as it will mess up something that might melt or burn. I have the six screws out of the frame and the top is about half off, but stuck. I don't want to ruin the frame as it is pretty nice. I bought it at a swap meet last year as mine was severely cancer ridden.

Rusty I used a Block of wood and a mallet and worked one end then the other. I had to drive it back together then tap it apart. I gently clamped the frame to my work bench.
