What is the best way to clean up '34 aluminum heads (without removing from the motor/car) to make them presentable? Don't want a shiny chrome look, but a good polished look....thanks Barners

I just sent a 34 aluminum intake manifold to www.jandpdeburring.com they use a vibratory process for cleaning then a media that contains aluminum to refinish and the results were outstanding it looks just like it came off the assembly line. This puts a skin on the surface of the part and it looks just like the original factory finish. It also seems to seal the part so that gas, oil and grease doesn't penetrate the aluminum. If I remember correctly the cost was around $25.

Nope that's a 34 intake manifold in 34 Ford added the drillable boss between the carburetor stand and the oil filler, fuel pump opening this was to tap for use with a Columbia rear end. Also the 34's have the dual throat opening, the fuel pump stand and oil filler were combined.
