Something I've done with all of my upholstery and carpets as soon as they are installed is treat them with ScotchGuard stain repellant. I think it's saved me a few difficult cleaning jobs. If you're not familiar with ScotchGuard, learn more about it here: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/...ions/Apparel/Do-It-Yourself/Fabric_Protector/
I had a few grease spots (shame on me) on the front seat of my A w/mohair. Took a rag with some acetone on it and brushed it with a little pressure in one direction, worked for me. Try first in an inconspicuous spot?

One other thing I've done to protect at least the sitting surfaces of my seats is that I found some large bath towels the same color as my upholstery that just cover the seat bottoms where we sit. I have those covering the seat bottoms at all times except for special passengers or at shows. It not only protects against soil but also wear.
