cleaning intake

I take mine to my engine machine shop and he runs it in his hot tank and cleaner for me!!!! THEN I use tub-o-towels to wipe mine clean before I clean it with denatured alcohol and then I paint it with Cerakote C.

What have used to clean some small stuff is the cheap starting fluid from Walmart. It really cleans oil spots from the driveway. You might also try some Dawn soap and water.

I have used "Brake Clean" to clean the fuel stains off of the aluminum intakes. Works great and very inexpensive!

A good final cleaning with a high ammonia content cleaner and then Alodine to seal the pores. Most automotive paint stores sell a cleaner and the Alodine.

I scrubbed my Edmund’s after I bought it and then filled my sandblaster with glass media and blasted it. It turned out looking like new.
