cleaning head light rsflectors

reflectors been off for 50 years very dirty could be oil or grease whats best to use to clean without any damage thanks dave
 
i would try mineral spirits for grease . i think ford recommended flannel cloth and lamp black for polishing
 
You might try Silver Polish BUT do not get too agressive. The silver plating on the reflectors may be a bit thin. be sure to use a VERY SOFT cloth.

TARNEX, which you can get at Walmart, or at about any grocery or hardware store, is very good for cleaning the old silver reflectors. It is not abrasive and will not remove any thin silver plating.
