Christmas Pictures with the Model A

The Dallas Club went out looking at Christmas lights this past weekend and so I wired up the Cabby with lights, and took Mr and Mrs Clause for a drive. I wanted to share a few pictures.

Please share your Christmas themed photos with your A, too!

No snow in Dallas. It will be 29 degrees here tonight, but no precipitation. I know the North East is getting hit pretty hard. I hope everyone stays warm and safe!

The lights are normal Christmas lights that were re-wired for 12V. Pretty easy to do. Just cut apart a normal strand making small sets of 5 lights in series. Then wire those multiple blocks of 5 lights in parallel. The rear strand was tapped into the tail light wire and the front strand and two spare tire lit wreaths were tapped into the switched wire going to the coil.

I also threw a 120v strand in the rumble seat to light up clause and used a power inverter but I kept having to rev the engine to give it enough power. Next year I'll just go with more 12V lights.

Nice pictures Jason

Nice pix. I won't do that because the temp here in NY will be in the single digits tonight. I wish I had a manifold heater in my "A".

I was in that roadster pictured. It really wasn't that cold. I only had on 4 layers of clothes, and a blanket. Plus the wind wings really do help. Couldn't find the side curtains.

This is an old one from before I changed the wheels to black. We don't get much snow here in Southeastern North Carolina.

Here in New Zealand it is summer and Christmas Day is usually a scorcher. It is interesting how Ford here approached it's advertising during this time.
