Choke cable

The choke on my 8BA started to bind so I sprayed some liquid wrench into it. That freed it somewhat but it's still tight. Should I use something else or just get a new cable?

Do you have the correct bracket to hold cable up at the right angle to hook up to the lever.Your lever could also not be adjusted correctly?? ken ct.

I believe it's set up correctly but it does not operate smoothly. Is there a good diagram / pic showing the correct position?

The correct bracket can be bent slightly to line up cable with the lever hookup. Disconnect the cable at the lever and work choke by hand. The small leg that sits between the "V" can be bent to some extent to let the lever move smoothely. Its hard to explain how to do this in print. I cant do pics.Ive had to adjust most on carbs i rebuild. ken ct.. call me if you want. 1-203-260-5945 cell.
