Found this announcement on the CEI website today for those of you who have used some of their products like the 35 to 40 rear axle mount spring kits, dropped axles, etc.

We are very excited to announce that Chassis Engineering Inc. (CEI) is joining our family of companies which includes Heidts Hot Rod & Muscle Car Parts, Alston Racing and American Performance Shock companies, www.heidts.com. CEI is a great fit for us and brings decades of experience serving the street and hot rod markets with their quality high performance parts. Heidts and Alston have been serving the same markets as well as later gen muscle cars, performance cars and drag racing. CEI’s Iowa operations will be folded into our nearby Lake Zurich IL facility and we will retain many of their staff and continue to supply the needs of current CEI customers. The combined companies will provide the market with the most comprehensive product line of suspension kits and components available today in the automotive aftermarket. Please check our website for more details.

I am very happy to hear sone one picked up their product line. It was really too good for it to just fade away. But it's really greats for all the folks who work there - I am happy to hear they will retain their jobs. That's good for them and good for the hobby .....

anybody know how long till parts can be ordered, and if it will be run with it's original name, of if it will take the HEIDTS name. lots of questions.

Friend of mine called Heidts and they told him they want to get set up and running as soon as possible.

got my leaf spring kit, it came in a heidts box, instructions were on chassis eng. paper. i'm happy.
