Charlotte '10....no Trovato !

We are back from the Eastern V8 Meet and had a great time. The real
beauty in these events is putting names to faces.
Tony 'Kiwi' Price, Ross Baron, Big John Griscom, Ken 'Redneck' Stewart and
Barb. Ken ct and Peggy Isidor, Ken Bounds, Pat Fenner and Pat McFarlane.
The ever gracious George 'GM' Mitchell and Ted Koudys down from Canada...Club president Arel Brown and 1st lady Barb of course.....
just to name a few. Prior to retiring I planned a weeks vacation around these
events and was never disappointed.
Each event has it's own character determined by location, conflicting sch-
edules and tailoring the meet to the host hotels rules and regulations, a
daunting task for the planners.
The modern bustle of Charlotte this year will be replaced next year by the
Eastern meet in Saratoga N.Y. a town filled with the history of when New
York State was successful and thriving and folks came there to relax...
that same aura remains today. Alice and I visit Saratoga often, our dau-
ghter and her family live near by.
I'm betting Jack and Sherry Evans will show up for this one.
The '11 Central Meet in Auburn Ind is on our must do list as well, the flavor
of the heart land and those country roads are not to be missed.
Thanks,
Charlie ny

Charlie....It was great visiting with you and Alice also! Thanks to Alice for keeping us informed on the temperature!! Over 100 degrees !! Thanks to you & Ken for helping me to keep my '40 running! Can't wait to see all of you guys again in Saratogo, NY & Auburn, IN next year. Going to be a blast! Pat

Oh boy, am I in trouble ith you, Charlie? LOL!!! No, I was up in Rhinebeck for the Goodguys event and to visit with friends and family in the area. It was brutally hot adn I ended up driving at night up and back to try and stay out of it. Heck, a black car with a flathead and no interior insulation would have had us well baked in the sun and heat of the day!

BTW, car is running great Charlie - thanks!!!

Ah... the old NIGHT RIDER routine! Did you leave the roads smoking?:D
Glad everyone's back home and safe from wherever you've been! Al
