Changing dist. & Wires

Unless you are doing a strictly stock restoration, I strongly suggest using Rajah spark Plug terminals from "The Brillman Company"; they're real neat. While you're at it, I would also consider Packard 440 plug wire from the same source. Some people say it causes static and other noise on car radios, but if you don't listen, that's not a problem.

i've changed plug wires a number of times and the standard configuration on an old Ford flathead can be a real PITA compared to most cars. but it does look nice once completed. and i will say that doing it the first time is the worst, it gets better and faster and less mistakes are made, like anything, with some practice. i've had them off and on and rewired three or four times now and if i had to put all new wires on using raw wires and loose connectors it would probably still take me most of a morning to do.

slapping on any kind of new wires can be fast if bypassing the OEM holders and simply zip tying the wires out of the way for testing purposes, but for the long term? who does that, right? it

What year car you are working on can make the difference between just a backache or a whole day of frustration. The newbie OP should give a bit more information.
